Yesterday was national or as they seem to have renmamed it {inter} national scrapbooking day. To say the industry goes all out for it is a little bit of an understatement. I don't think there was a single digital scrapbooking site that wasn't doing something, almost every store was on sale, there were chats, prizes, freebies, challenges, giveaways, RAKs, competitions, and so much more it was really intimadating and hard to know where to start lol. I spent my day doing some shopping, downloading some freebies and hanging out in the chatroom at Scrapbook Graphics. I didn't really feel like scrapping not that I was short of inspiration infact I was swamped with it which is why I got nothing done lol I didn't know where to start. There was so much I wanted to do but never got around to but that's got a lot to do with having a row with Mark and spending a few hours of it sleeping. I fell asleep during a chat last night as well so that lost me more hours but I have a confession to make, I couldn't find anything else I wanted to buy. Yes I know strange isn't it I picked up a few new releases, a few collaborations and a couple of kits I have been wanting for a while and there was nothing else that caught my interest. The only reasons I can think of are either I was just overwhelmed by the sales, a little worried about funds, sick of the super slow stores everywhere due to the sheer volume of people using them or the other alternative, I have finally reached my saturation point as far as buying digital stash goes. I really hope it's not the last one lol. I like shopping! I know there is only so many papers etc that any one person needs but I truly believe it has more to do with me just not really being interested in anything at the moment rather than there not being anything to buy. Myabe later I will do a post about everything I bought with previews and links but right now I am feeling a little inspired to scrap. This morning I did this layout for the NSD template challenge at Scrapbook Graphics.

Journalling reads: When I first started to scrap all I was trying to do was escape some of the pain of losing Leo. I was just looking for some kind of release. But it didn’t take me long to realise that as well as using scrapbooking to forget the pain I could also use it to create a permanant record of the things I wanted to remember always. Things like Birthdays and Christmas’s sure, but also the little everyday things you loved, the things you said and how much you have changed. It also gave me a way to ensure Leo was never forgotten. I really hope that when you are older my layouts will show you how much you and Leo mean to me.
Enabling: Denim Blues and Basic Alpha by Megan Farrows (Flergs) available here and here. DJB Nicole can be found here. Layered template by Kait Gonzalez was for a NSD template challenge you can find all the details including the download link here.
Right now I am off to see if there's anything else I feel like scrapping, and maybe going back to bed for a couple of hours.
