Journalling reads: It’s always fun to shop for Babies First Christmas decorations. Usually I restrain myself to small but adorable Christmas tree ornaments, but I couldn’t resist this adorable little pink felt stocking. I was showing it to Nannie when I got the idea to see if you would fit in it. I was thinking it might make a cute Christmas card. This was the only photo you weren’t having a meltdown in. Looking at you now it’s hard to believe you were ever this tiny. December 2011.
This blog contains the ramblings of one crazy mummy. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. If it offends you feel free not to read it. You will often find moans, whinges, lists of my digiscrapping purchases and even the occasional freebie. I accept no responsibility at all for any purchases that result from reading my blog lol.

Tutu
Credits: Layered template (2 Photos Volume 1, Template 1) by Ramona Brown (Memory Clips By Ramona), Tulle Ribbon from For Unto Us by Southern Creek Designs and Timeless by Jen C Designs. Font is KG Empire Of Dirt.
Journalling reads: Having a daughter of my own is very different than I ever imagined it would be. When I was younger I was never even close to being a girly girl. I have always been much more comfortable in jeans and tops and while I may own make-up and high heels, I wear them only on very rare occasions. But since Leia was born I seem unable to resist the urge to buy her lots of pretty things. Our house has been taken over by frills, lace, ruffles and most of all pink. When I saw this baby tutu skirt, I had to buy it for her. I was so excited to dress her up in it and take some photographs of how cute she looked. Only she didn’t want to be photographed. The feel of the tutu intrigued her for a while, but she soon decided to try and eat it. When that didn’t work she just threw herself backwards and happily munched on her feet. Not exactly a ladylike pose, but it was a great chance to capture those beautiful chunky baby thighs!

Journalling reads: You were both thrilled to see that that the new play area at Florence Park, now included a sandpit. Daddy is a big kid, so he couldn’t wait to get down and help the two of you try and build a sandcastle using a couple of paint buckets and a plastic spade and shovel from the 99p shop. 13th May 2012.

Baby Clothes

Journalling reads: When it comes to our kids, I am the one who is usually responsible for choosing and buying any clothing. I don’t really value other people’s opinions on clothes. I always pick whatever catches my eye, Mark doesn’t have much interest so he leaves me to it. But somehow we seem to have developed a tradition with all of our kids. There is always something that I see, love and decide I have to buy, that someone else (usually Nan) really hates. With Lukas and Logan it was animal print babygros (zebra print for Lukas & giraffe for Logan), with Leo it was a pair of blue jeans (she said he was too small for denim) and Leia’s was this cute purple velvet all in one outfit (she said it was too dark for a baby). Ironically she changed her mind once she saw Leia wearing it. January 2012.

Hill End Residential

Journalling reads: When the school first sent the letters home about the residential trip to Hill End, you were adamant that you didn't want to go. You had never been away from home and the idea of 3 day, 2 night trip just didn't appeal to you. I would be lying if I didn't say I was a bit relieved. With each of the reminder letters they sent home, I asked you again just in case you had changed your mind, yet each time you always said you didn't want to go. Only somehow the teachers managed to convince you to change your mind just a few days before the trip. On the Friday afternoon, when I went to pick you up I was met by your teacher. She said you had asked to go on the trip and handed me a kit list. I wasn't exactly thrilled to only have a few days to gather all of your supplies. I knew they had only told your the positives about the trip, so I tried to at least give you all the facts so your could make a decision. You frequently changed your mind, over the weekend wanting to go one minute, begging me not to send you the next. You cried, whined, whinged, begged, pleaded, sulked, and pretty much drove me insane. This carried on right up until the day you were due to leave. I didn't really want you to go but I have always prided myself on allowing you to make your own decisions. I gathered everything together, packed your bags and signed all the forms they needed just in case you wanted to go. I even stayed up to make you a little photo album filled with pictures of people like Mummy, Daddy, Nana, Logan and Leo so you wouldn't miss us so much. The day of your trip you got up feeling nervous, but excited. You made the decision to go and we rushed to get your ready and to school on time. Ironically when coach was delayed so Mummy and Daddy ended up siting in the cafe to have a drink, while you were taken to your classroom. Eventually it was time for you all to be loaded on the coach to go. I tried to blow you kisses but you acted all embarrassed and refused to look at me, so I did something guaranteed to get your attention, I lifted Logan out of the pushchair to wave at you. Your expression changed instantly as you eagerly tried to point him out to everyone on the coach, shouting that's my little brother. I really hope this trip is everything that you hope it will be Lukas.

Journalling reads: You have always made things interesting and unexpected Logan. Throughout my pregnancy we all thought you would be very premature and very small. Our first surprise came when you were born in the back of the ambulance 5 minutes away from home at 37 weeks and apart from being tiny you were fine. You were allowed to come up on to the ward with me. We dared to hope that this time things might be different but they weren't. You ended up in Special Care just like your brothers, but it wasn't really the same. You weren't really sick you just had a bit of jaundice and a few issues with feeding, but you didn't have any trouble breathing or staying warm. We have plenty of experience with Special Care, so we know the one question you never ask is "when can we take him home?" you just cope with all of the day to day problems, visit whenever possible and sit back and wait!

Journalling reads: When we took you all to play at Florence Park, It wasn’t really very interesting for you. Since you refuse to sit up on your own, it makes it hard to keep you entertained while the boys are busy playing. Today you decided to amuse yourself by chewing on your dress, you looked so cute doing it I didn’t have the heart to stop you. 13th May 2012.

Baby You're A Firework
Credits: Layered template (Twisted Pixels, July 2012) by Isabel Mendez (Crisdam Designs), July Wordart Challenge by Pretty In Green and The Fourth by Jen C Designs. Font is The Typewriter by Heather Hess.
Journalling reads: I really like this photograph of you, good thing really since it was such a pain to get it. All I wanted was one cute photo of you to add to your Christmas thank you’s. It should have been simple, you sit in the chair and smile, I take a photo, print it out then add it to the notes and post them. Only you decided to fidget, cry, complain, squirm, whinge, moan, whine and refuse to look at the camera. So pretty much the same thing you do single time I point a camera at you. I don’t know why we have to go through this every time, but it makes it so difficult to get any nice photos of you. It’s lucky for you that you cute enough to be worth the effort! 2nd January 2008.

Proud To Be An England Supporter

Journalling reads: When I first saw this outfit for Logan, England were competing in the World Cup in South Africa, I really wanted to buy it for him, but I refused to pay the highly over inflated price they were charging for it. I added it to my wishlist and waited. As expected we got knocked out of the competition yet again, after losing a game 4-1 to Germany. I ended up buying the outfit I had been wanting and this England stroller for less than the tracksuit had originally cost. I guess sometimes it’s not such a bad thing that we suck at football!
